The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi

Hi Friends, today we are going to share our adventure at The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

All I can say is that it was indeed grand and majestic. It was amazingly beautiful. There were lots of tourist. We went there around two in the afternoon when the sun was at its peak. Oh my goodness!

I would like to thank our generous and awesome hosts Ate Tata, Ate Idang and Kuya Gerard for everything that they have done to make our adventure in Dubai smooth sailing.

We proceeded to the basement to put on the Abaya and Shayla. It is a required clothing for the ladies. The men have the option to wear the white clothing. It was free of charge at that time. I am not sure if its still free up to now. When I returned the Abaya and Shayla, I realized that they washed it before letting others use it again.

This is the Water Mirror and Columns. When we passed this part, I felt the serenity of the place. Our daughter couldn't stop herself from touching the waters.

Look at these columns! It's beautiful!

It was my first time to wear the Abaya and Shayla and one thing I realized was that it actually protected myself from the heat of the sun. I didn't feel hot when I wore it.

Just look at that intricate design! Amazing!

Amazing marble floors!

There are 7 imported chandeliers decorated with swarovski crystals.

In every corner of the mosque have so much details. It was just wow!

The carpet was handcrafted by  1200-1300 carpet knotters and it took roughly 2 years to complete.

Dubai Adventure Part II - Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi

After our Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Tour, we are already hungry so for lunch we headed to Turquoiz Beach Restaurant and Lounge located at St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort . I forgot to take photos of the food we ate. We are really that hungry :)



Let's have a little tour around the resort. There were a lot of hotel guests enjoying the pool and beach. I wanted to take photos of the place but something is telling me to skip it.

Here's what I got.

Walking towards the restaurant,

Then we drove to Ferrari World.

I have to carry the little boy for a family photo at the entrance. Little Dave was very excited to see the shining Ferrari cars.

They also have a big indoor play ground for the kids but for age less than 3 the attendant did not allow our little Dave to explore the upper floors.

The other kid was trying to get into the stationary race car and little Dave did, of course, stop him.

Then we moved on to see other shining Ferrari cars

We rode the Bell'Italia. The cars are small-scale Ferrari 250 California  Spider, circa 1958.

I love this ride! We get to tour around Italy! Yay! Everything is miniature. The intricate attention to details was amazing. Scroll down to see what I mean. You may choose to either walk or drive.

 While Buddy was queuing for our ride, me and little Dave had a stroll. Getting up close with the miniatures. 

It was too late when I realized what these are for. I was too busy looking at the miniatures. I think this is a fun game.

It says "Free Play". Can you see it?

We had to go back to our queue so we can have our most awaited ride.

Yehey! At last, it's our turn.

And so our journey starts now...

We just got out of the tunnel so this part was a bit dark. 

We don't have much time to spare in this wonderful world of Ferrari. We hoped we had more. This should be a whole day affair for the family.

Little Dave was a bit cranky and he still want that shiny red car.
